FBI Foils Drone-and-Sniper Plot on White House UFC Event

The FBI has arrested five people in connection with an alleged plot to attack President Donald Trump’s UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House, federal authorities said.

According to court documents, the group planned to stage a “demonstration” before deploying drones loaded with unspecified explosive devices over the north side of the UFC arena. Potential targets included Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and billionaire Elon Musk. (Read More)


China-Linked Spies Stole Data from Medical, Military Research Networks Across North America for Years

A China-linked cyberespionage group identified as UNC6508 operated undetected inside North American medical, academic, and military research organizations, according to new findings from Google’s Threat Intelligence Group.

Researchers said the threat group breached a medical research university in September 2023, stole credentials and communications, and remained active on the institution’s systems through November 2025, when it was discovered. Google said it has already reached out to affected organizations and offered assistance. (Read More)


Russian Frigate Fires Warning Shots at British Yacht in English Channel

The Russian Black Sea Fleet frigate Admiral Grigorovich fired warning shots at a British-flagged civilian yacht in the English Channel, about 20 nautical miles south of the Isle of Wight, on Tuesday morning.

No injuries or damage were reported, and the yacht continued its journey following the incident. The U.K. Ministry of Defence confirmed the incident and said the shots were “not aimed at the vessel” and were an “attempt to prevent a possible collision.” It said it is investigating the incident. Russian artist and Kremlin critic Semyon Skrepetsky, known for his anti-Putin political art, was shot dead in Poland in what investigators say was a targeted attack. The attacker fled the scene and remains at large. (Read More)

Britain expects to sign an international contract for its sixth-generation fighter under the Global Combat Air Programme, which it shares with Italy and Japan, by the end of the month, the Prime Minister’s Office said. The aircraft is set to enter service in 2035. (Read More)
