Mossad’s years-long infiltration set stage for Israeli strikes on Iran

Alert Line

Last week, the economics of war profoundly shifted. Ukraine deployed 117 cheap commercially available drones to disable & destroy 1/3rd of Russia’s Strategic Bomber fleet.

The loss in dollar terms to Russia? Estimated at $7Bn. Cost to the Ukraine? Likely less than $250,000, all in. If this isn’t a wake-up call regarding why we need defense acquisition reform, I don’t know what is.

Mossad Executed Massive Covert Operation to Paralyze Iran’s Air Defenses and Missile Capabilities

Israeli intelligence operatives spent years preparing for a sweeping covert operation inside Iran, smuggling weapons, building drone bases, and staging a three-phase assault targeting air defense and missile infrastructure, according to multiple Israeli media reports. Footage released Friday shows Mossad agents firing Rafael Spike missiles and deploying explosive drones from within Iran, followed by Israeli Air Force strikes on nearly 100 targets, including the Natanz enrichment facility. Video Shows Russian Jet Destroyed Mid Air by Its Own Wingman in Ukraine

A Russian Su-25 attack aircraft was reportedly shot down by its wingman over Donetsk Oblast in a friendly fire incident involving unguided rockets, according to pro-Russian milbloggers and OSINT analysts. Video shared online appears to show one Su-25 firing on another during a close-formation flight near Soledar. The crash adds to a string of non-combat Su-25 losses, as Russia’s aging fleet continues to suffer from failures and operational mishaps. (Read More)

Chinese Fighter Jets Intercept Japanese Patrol Aircraft Near Carrier in Western Pacific

A Chinese J-15 fighter jet launched from the aircraft carrier Shandong flew within 45 meters of a Japanese P-3C patrol aircraft over the western Pacific, prompting Tokyo to issue a formal protest and warn of collision risks. The incident occurred during rare dual-carrier drills by China’s navy operating beyond the First and Second Island Chains. (Read More)

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un presided over the relaunch of the 5,000-ton destroyer Kang Kon on Thursday, less than a month after it capsized during a failed launch. State media portrayed the restoration as a symbol of national resolve, with Kim reaffirming his naval buildup as a response to U.S.-led regional threats. Despite skepticism over the ship’s condition, Kim announced plans to build two more destroyers next year to expand North Korea’s long-range maritime presence. (Read More)

Pentagon Cuts F-35 Orders in Half for 2026

The Pentagon has halved its 2026 request for F-35 fighter jets, asking Congress for 24 Air Force variants instead of the 48 initially forecast, according to Bloomberg. The Navy and Marine Corps will also receive fewer jets as part of broader cost-cutting measures tied to anticipated defense budget reductions. Why Can't The West Match Russia's Ammunition Production? | Kyiv Independent

Western countries are falling behind Russia in producing critical explosive materials like nitrocellulose and TNT, creating a bottleneck that limits ammunition supplies for Ukraine and NATO. While shell production has increased, the core chemicals needed to fill them are still largely offshored. Companies like BAE Systems and Rheinmetall are working to restart or modernize production, but significant output isn’t expected before 2027. (Read More)
