Russian Spy Satellite Luch Destroyed in Graveyard Orbit After Suspected Debris Strike

The satellite, built for Russia's Defense Ministry and FSB and launched in 2014, was decommissioned in October 2025. Astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell said the debris impact could indicate the space environment above geostationary orbit is worse than previously believed. (Read More)
