Ukraine Releases Footage of First FPV Drone Attack Launched from Boats

Ukraine’s military intelligence agency, the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), has released footage of what it says is its first use of boat-launched first-person-view (FPV) drones. The operation was carried out on September 11, 2024, by the Raven Group of GUR’s Timur Special Unit and targeted Russian positions on the Petro Hodovalets gas platform off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea. Air Force Officer Arrested in Ukraine for Allegedly Leaking Data on Western Jets

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) announced Wednesday that it had arrested a Ukrainian Air Force major accused of leaking sensitive information about Western-supplied fighter jets and Ukrainian airbases to Russian military intelligence. In a statement, the SBU said the unnamed officer was a flight instructor and served as a major in one of the Air Force brigades. (Read More)

Swedish IS Fighter Sentenced to Life for Role in Jordanian Pilot’s Execution

A Swedish court on Thursday sentenced 32-year-old Osama Krayem to life in prison after finding him guilty of committing a war crime for his role in the 2015 execution of Jordanian pilot First Lt. Marine Corps Offers Early Discharge to Enlisted Marines

The Marine Corps is allowing active-duty enlisted Marines with 2025 separation dates to leave service early under a new program announced Thursday. The initiative applies to Marines with an “end of active service” (EAS) date on or before Sept. 30, 2025. Approved participants will separate before their contract ends but still be considered to have completed full active-duty service. The program excludes Marine Corps Reservists. (Read More)
