Congo Launches $100M U.S. and UAE-Backed Paramilitary Force to Secure Mines

The Democratic Republic of Congo announced a $100 million paramilitary mining security force backed by the U.S. and the UAE to protect its mineral supply chain. Up to 3,000 personnel will be deployed across mining regions by December, scaling to over 20,000 across all 22 provinces by 2028.

Ukraine Reveals Russia's Newest Cruise Missile Built With Western Components

Ukrainian intelligence has released a full technical teardown of Russia’s S-71K “Kovyor” cruise missile, designed for the Su-57 fighter, showing it is built largely with foreign-made electronic components.

Analysis indicates key parts are sourced from the U.S., China, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Ireland. “The message is explicit: the sanctions are not working as intended, and the evidence is now on the internet in three dimensions,” Defence Blog notes in its report. (Read More)
