U.S. Accuses Chinese Satellite Firm of Assisting Houthi Attacks

The U.S. State Department on Thursday accused Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co. Ltd., a Chinese satellite firm linked to China's military, of directly supporting Iran-backed Houthi fighters with imagery used to target U.S. and international vessels in the Red Sea. "We can confirm the reporting that Chang Guang Satellite Technology Company Limited is directly supporting Iran-backed Houthi terrorist attacks on U.S. interests," State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said. Hamas is reportedly facing a deepening financial crisis in the Gaza Strip, unable to pay operatives and government employees after Israeli airstrikes and a halt in humanitarian aid cut off key revenue sources, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. Citing Arab, Israeli and Western officials, the WSJ reported Wednesday that Hamas has struggled to pay salaries to fighters and civil servants, with even senior officials receiving only partial wages. Ukraine Repels 320-Troop Russian Assault, Destroys 29 Vehicles in Southern Battle

Ukrainian forces have repelled what they described as one of the largest coordinated Russian assaults in southern Ukraine to date, eliminating 140 Russian troops and destroying 29 armored vehicles in a two-and-a-half-hour battle near the Zaporizhzhia front, Ukraine’s Southern Defense Forces reported on Thursday. Reconnaissance units detected the advance near the villages of Pyatikhatky, Stepove, Lobkove, and Mali Shcherbaky. British Army Tests “RapidDestroyer” Radiofrequency Weapon, Downs Over 100 Drones in Field Trial

The British Army has successfully tested a next-generation radiofrequency directed energy weapon (RF DEW) capable of disabling entire swarms of drones using concentrated bursts of high-frequency radio waves, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced Thursday. In trials, RapidDestroyer demonstrated the ability to disable multiple targets almost instantly, with an effective range of up to 1 kilometer (0.62 miles). Each shot costs roughly 18 cents. American Killed after Attempting to Hijack Plane in Belize: Officials | NY Post

A U.S. citizen was shot and killed Thursday after attempting to hijack a small passenger plane in Belize with a knife, according to police. The Cessna Grand Caravan EX took off at 8:17 a.m. local time with 14 passengers and two crew members. Shortly after takeoff, The suspecg pulled a knife and demanded to be flown out of the country. One of the passengers shot suspect in the chest. The suspect died on the runway after the plane landed safely at 10:12 a.m. at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport. (Read More)
