U.S. Strikes More Than 90 Iranian Military Targets on Kharg Island, Oil Infrastructure Spared

U.S. forces carried out a large-scale precision strike on Iran’s Kharg Island on Friday night, hitting more than 90 military targets while leaving the island’s critical oil infrastructure intact, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said Saturday.

CENTCOM said the operation destroyed naval mine storage facilities, missile storage bunkers and several other military sites on the island. (Read More)


Iran-Backed Militia Releases Footage of FPV Drone Strike on U.S. Base Near Baghdad Airport

A pro-Iranian Iraqi militia released footage showing what appears to be its first-ever FPV drone strike on a U.S. military installation in Iraq.

The footage, aired on the pro-Iranian Iraqi channel Naya, shows the drone flying inside the U.S. Victory Base complex for several minutes before striking its target. The video release comes amid ongoing attacks by Iran and its allied militias in Iraq against U.S. positions in the Middle East. (Read More)


U.S. Intel Shows Late Iranian Leader Opposed Son’s Succession

U.S. intelligence officials have informed President Donald Trump and a small circle of senior advisers that Iran’s late supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, opposed the possibility of his son Mojtaba Khamenei succeeding him, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter who spoke to CBS News.

According to sources, the elder Khamenei was wary of his son taking power “because he was perceived as not very bright, and was viewed as unqualified to be leader.” (Read More)
