Ukraine Develops AI-Powered Interceptor Drone That Autonomously Downs Shaheds

Ukraine has developed interceptor drones capable of autonomously identifying and shooting down Russian Shahed attack drones, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Fedorov said the system, developed by MaXon Systems, automates about 95% of the entire interception process, from drone launch to the destruction of Shaheds. The system recently passed combat testing. (Read More)


NASA's X-59 ‘Quiet’ Supersonic Jet Breaks the Sound Barrier for the First Time

NASA’s experimental X-59 aircraft completed its first supersonic flight over Edwards Air Force Base in California on Friday.

The agency said test pilot Jim “Clue” Less flew the aircraft during an 81-minute mission, during which it reached approximately Mach 1.1 (713 mph), and climbed to an altitude of 43,400 feet. NASA said the jet will be pushed to a cruising speed of Mach 1.4 (925 mph) and an altitude of approximately 55,000 feet within days. (Read More)


French Rafale Shoots Down a Mystery Drone Over Latvia in a NATO First

A French Rafale fighter jet deployed under NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission shot down an unidentified drone that entered Latvian airspace on Sunday morning, authorities said.

The drone was downed near the village of Berzgale, about 30 kilometers (18 miles) from the Russian border. Latvian officials said Russian electronic warfare likely diverted the drone off course. It remains unclear whether the drone originated from Russia or Ukraine. (Read More)
