Iran Executes Alleged Israel Agent Accused in IRGC Assassination
Iran has executed Mohsen Langarneshin, a 36-year-old former IT consultant, after convicting him of working with Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency in the 2022 killing of a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Langarneshin was hanged early Wednesday morning at Ghezel Hesar prison. Iran’s judiciary described him as a “senior spy” who gave Mossad technical and logistical help between 2020 and 2023.
